Video Note Taking

Several key questions that I think may be important from the video are:
- How have the New Guineans shaped the world?
- How did our worlds ever become so different?

Notes on the video:
- All this began in Papa New Guinea in which people have been living within for forty-thousand years!
- Cargo was a term used by the New Guineans that refers to the material goods first brought to New Guinea.
- Western colonials believed that people had power, only because of their race.
- In order to understand the New Guineans, Diamond had to turn back the clock on human history and development to go back to prehistory to understand how they live.
- Thirteen-thousand years ago, the Ice Age ended, allowing the world to become warmer and wetter.
- The area in which humans thrived the most after the Ice Age, was the Middle East, in which people lived in small groups and went area hopping whenever their wasn't a stable environment for food or the area in general (such as a dangerous area with lots of insane animals).
- The only place left like this is the rainforest in Papa New Guinea.
- In order to be a hunter you must be stealthy and not draw attention to the animal.
- Women mostly gather the materials.

So Mr. Schick's Apparently Pregnant

I'm concerned. Someone please help. I'm no doctor, but Mr. Schick has an umbilical hernia, which sounds painful and really concerning to me at least. Presentation Day #1

Today we had shortened mods because we had a mental health assembly. So, with the class only being forty-five minutes long, we only got through one presentation. It took ten minutes to get prepared to start presenting and then ten minutes to get the first project setup and ready to go. I thought that their project was pretty good. I just didn't wanna eat any food because I was not hungry and as of late my stomach is extremely sensitive. I don't know if tomorrow will be the day Sam and I get to present because we were listed as to go fourth, but Katie and Grace had food so they got pushed to second and we got pushed down to fifth. It's not like I care when we get present, as long as we get to go, I'll be fine. There's three other groups ahead of us, so we will most likely go Tuesday, but we could go tomorrow depending on how fast some of these projects go.

Humanism  was an intellectual movement that focused on human potential and achievements. Secular  was worldly rather than spiritual and concerned with the here and now. Patrons  were the Church leaders during the Renaissance beautified Rome along with the merchants and wealthy families. Perspective  was a style that shows three dimensions on a flat surface. Vernacular  was a language native to Dante, an Italian writer. 3) Some characteristics of the "Renaissance man" are excelling in many fields, was praised, charming, witty, and well educated in the classics.
