1) The economy soon suffered from inflation, in which there is a drastic drop in the value of of money coupled with a rise in prices. Mercenaries were recruited by the Roman government because the Roman Army became less disciplined and less loyal. Diocletian was a strong-willed army leader who became emperor and tried to slow the decline of the Empire. Constantinople was the new capital of the Empire and was located in the East. Attila was the first chieftain of the Huns in which he conquered the west of the Roman Empire.

3) The main internal causes of the empire's decline was that the Roman Army became less disciplined and loyal and the inflation.

4) Diocletian succeeded in preserving the Empire by dividing the Empire up and creating a large army and fixing the inflation problems.

5) So many Germanic tribes began invading the Roman Empire because a fierce group Mongol nomads moved into the region and began destroying all in their path, in which the Germanic people fled to Roman land.
